Currently Into: All things Emily Osment

Emily Osment, famously know as the girl next door on Hannah Montana, Lilly. Today she is on a hit show called Young and Hungry on ABC Family. The show is about a young aspiring chef who has a little bit of a love interest with her boss.

The fashion options on this show is just on point. I love seeing all of her outfits, and it makes me wish for her wardrobe!

Current: Savings Apps

With so many coupon/savings apps, I find myself slightly addicted to saving and comparing with my sister how many points/money we have racked up.

Today, I will be sharing with everyone, all of the apps that I am currently using for saving.  On my home screen, I have a whole folder dedicated to "Coupon"

1. Google - Rewards
2. Target - Cartwheel
3. Ibotta
4. Receipt Hog
5. Walmart
6. Walgreens
7. Checkout 51
8. Kroger
9. H-E-B
10. CVS

1. Google Rewards
  • You earn Google Play credits for answering survey questions
  • Some of the questions offer you zero credits, and other questions offer you .70 cents
  • I usually get 3 to 4 questions per week
  • Your credits will expire after a year
  • I have used my credits to purchase a movie
  • So far, I have earned $28.67
"Is that the app that gives you dollars pennies for answering surveys?" - Quoted from my brother

2. Target-Cartwheel
  • You can search for products you wish to purchase or you can scan the item to see if there is a coupon for the item (I love the scanning feature) if your product does not have a coupon for it, it will suggest similar products with offers
  • Most of the coupons are just 5% off
  • Target offers a school reward program which you can link to your Cartwheel barcode
  • I have been a member since September 2013, total savings $35.43 (one of my friends has saved $183.57)
3. Ibotta
http://cdn1.moneysavingmom.com/
  • They offer a mixture of brand and non brand coupon items
  • For items with a barcode, you must scan/verify the item then scan your receipt
  • I have collected $10.65

4. Receipt Hog
google.com/play
  • You take a picture of your receipt, and you get coins based on your total. You can also get slot spins to earn more coins
  • Your rewards are transferred to PayPal or Amazon gift cards
  • I have collected 1531 coins or roughly $5

5. Walmart
http://www.vivaveltoro.com

  • You scan your receipt, then Walmart will search other advertisements to ensure that everything you purchased was at the lowest price. If not, they will refund you the difference (the trick is, the product has to be advertised)
  • As an added bonus, if you wish to return something but you do not have your physical receipt, you can open your app and show them your electronic receipt.

6. Walgreens / 8. Kroger / 9. H-E-B / 10. CVS
  • They are all similar to the Target Cartwheel

7. Checkout 51
www.livingrichwithcoupons.com
  • This is probably my least used app, they look for more specific items and occasionally offer deals for produce (but you can only choose 1 out of 4 items)
  • I have collected $6.75
In conclusion, I have decided that when I have kids, I will put them in the push cart seater and they will have the app open and I will hand them the product and scan/search for the coupon of the product.

Goals for June!

First let me recap my progress from my May goals.

1. Be nicer - I honestly did not make an effort on this one... FAIL
2. Clean my closet - I did reorganize and put everything in its place. I sorted my clothing into sections: shirts, bottoms, and dresses. Overall I probably took 4 or 5 pieces out of my wardrobe that I haven't worn... slight fail
3. Drink more water - This goal was off to a good start, but I lost my momentum and found myself forgetting this goal... FAIL
4. Be more active - FAIL

This month has been a bad month for me, I was busy with all sorts of activities, it has been raining like crazy to the points of flash flooding, and just emotionally draining. I have decided that since last months goals were a bust, I should continue the same goals into this month, and hopefully I will be able to report some progress.

Till next time,
Gwen
